Enterprise Engineer

Certifications: Senior level certification in at least one major platform (MCNE, CCIE, MCT, CNI)

Dual operating systems cert (MCSE and CNE)

Enterprise Management Software Certifications

Experience:

• Supervision and design of implementation plans, supervision of  the daily operations of an IT staff, Interfaces with users and IT managers to identify, evaluate and implement solutions

• Multiple OS Installation, configuration (server and workstation), trouble-shooting, design, 

• routers, switches, hubs, cabling, Strong TCPIP, SNMP

• Experience with 3270 emulation, host connections, gateways, T1, Frame Relay 

• Management S/W Cert. (Openview, Lanalyzer, Managewise, Tivoli, Unicenter, SunNet mgr.) 

• Project lead experience. 

• High level of customer satisfaction feedback 

• Good communication skills

• Typically requires a BSEE or  equivalent networking experience with minimum 3-5 years experience in advanced networking integration and operations. 2-3 years experience in advanced networking integration and operations.

• Demonstrate experience in the design of local and wide area networks. 

• Demonstrate experience in the use of a structured methodology. 

• Demonstrate the ability to supervise a project team.

Description:

Designs local and wide area network infrastructures to support distributed systems as well as implementation and project plans.

Coordinates project resources to ensure the successful implementation of network infrastructure designs.

Supervises the daily operations of an IT Staff in support of local and wide area networking systems including multi-vendor server hardware and software; various network cabling topologies (e.g. EtherNet, Token-Ring, FDDI)

Interfaces with users and IT managers to identify, evaluate and implement timely solutions to user performance and networking problems.

Maintains a high level of knowledge on new technologies and vendor offerings which are cost-effective and will improve performance for the data communications network.
